MEET MAYEAUX CONSTRUCTION Phil Mayeaux, owner of Mayeaux Construction Inc., is a local home builder who has a solid reputation with an extensive reference list. Phil has been building in the Metropolitan New Orleans area since 1982. He and his knowledgeable staff oversee the construction of all houses. He currently resides in Covington, Louisiana with his wife. Phil worked as a construction superintendent from 1982-85 managing the construction of 38 homes while gaining valuable "hands-on experience". In 1985 he incorporated his business and started building for customers on a pre-sold basis initially, then speculative homes on a larger scale. As Mayeaux Construction grew, Phil included land development, remodeling, restoration, and commercial construction to his range of expertise. Over the last 25 years he has constructed over 350 new homes and developed 6 subdivisions in St. Tammany, St. Bernard, Jefferson and Plaquemines Parishes, as well as, numerous remodeling, restoration, and commercial projects. Phil is licensed by the State Licensing Board for Contractors in the State of Louisiana, both residentially and commercially. He is currently a member of the Tangipahoa Home Builders Association, and for three years, served on the Board of Directors of the Greater New Orleans Homebuilders Association and the Louisiana Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. THE BUILDING PROCESS Decide On A Budget Phil will meet with you to discuss your total budget for the house and lot. He works with several lenders in the area who can calculate your estimated monthly payments and pre-qualify you for your mortgage. Pick Your location Once you have established how much house you can afford, you can choose the subdivision (from the list above) that best suits your needs. Start The Design Great design isn't measured in just square footage. It is expressed by the flow of your home's layout and the way a room feels as you enter it. Phil has many plans on his computer for you to choose from. He can draw a plan from your own sketch, or use parts from several plans to create your own unique design.  Ready To Build Once you have decided on a location and floor plan, Phil will go over the purchase agreement and finalize all of the aspects of contracting with him as your builder. During the building process you will be making your personal selections of flooring, cabinets, lighting, colors, etc., in accordance with your plan's specifications. Warranty Mayeaux Construction warrants your new home in accordance with the Louisiana New Home Warranty Act as outlined by Louisiana law. |
